About the job
As the only full-time Accounting employee at the Company, the Accounting Manager will perform substantially all accounting functions. Candidate must have an Accounting degree, excellent computer and communication skills, be flexible and have a minimum of three years of substantive relevant work experience.
Accounts payable: Obtain invoice approval, determine account and department coding and enter invoices into Quickbooks. Run checks, obtain check signature, file paid A/P packets. Process international wire transfers. Accrue and pay use tax when required. Ensure all contractors have W-9s on file, monitor payments to contractors, issue yearly 1099s. Review and enter monthly employee expense reports.
Payroll: Process bi-monthly payroll including 401(k) and other employee deductions, review and pay benefit invoices, coordinate with HR in new hire and termination processing. Post payroll and PTO journal entries. Track 401(k) and benefit amounts by employee.
Accounts receivable: Record revenue from internal company reports. Record wire transfer cash receipts against appropriate customer and invoice. Resolve payment and overdue receivable issues with other employees and directly with customers through their websites and by phone.
Credit cards: Manage credit card charges, payments and record transactions in Quickbooks.
Fixed assets: Code assets to proper fixed asset accounts, compute and record monthly depreciation, complete annual personal property tax return.
Cash: Reconcile cash accounts. Manage and record all cash transfer transactions. Update cash forecast reports as needed.
Monthly Close: Record monthly journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts in preparation for the monthly close. Prepare financial statements and other reports as directed by the Controller, CFO and CEO.
Other: Other project and duties as required.
Pay Range: $70,000 – $80,000
