Automation Testing - Automation Test Design
Automation Testing - HP Quick Test Professional
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3-5 years prior experience in Quality Assurance.
- At least 3 years experience in QTP automation testing of large scale applications
- Experience in automation testing of large scale applications.
Skills:
- Proficient in designing, developing and implementing automation test suites from high level QA Documentation (system test plans/ quality plan/test procedures), from Business & Functional specifications as well as Software/Product Development Process Documents.
- Performed GUI, Functional, Usability, Acceptance, Boundary, Regression Tests.
- Proficient in creating positive/negative test approach.
- Proficient in research in risk analysis.
- Working closely with developers to quickly define and document critical areas to test.
- Writing detailed problem reports and submitting them to the Bug Tracking system.
- Collaborated with development to implement standard build and test procedures.
- Knowledge of the software build, configuration and release process supporting the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Analysis of back-end/transactional systems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of:
- Quality assurance practices and procedures.
- Programming Languages:
- VBScript, JavaScript
- At least one of: C#, Java, C++
- DOM, HTML, DHTML, CSS, XML
- Automation Tools:
- QTP 9.2 or later
- HP Quality Center 9.2 or later
- RDBMS & Tools
- MySql, Oracle. MS SQL
- Source Control. Working knowledge at least one of:
- CVS , SVN
- Product testing standards.
Ability to:
- Develop and maintain automation test scripts.
- Demonstrate solid programming skills including OOP
- Thoroughly analyze and report automation test results.
- Manipulate with data stored in relational databases using SQL as well as working experience with databases as a backend for automation test scripts.
- Ability to identify the dynamic data for effective script parameterization.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and take on new challenges.
- Handle a great variety of tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong understanding of automation framework
- Demonstrate strong understanding of enterprise application.
- Good understandings of application servers like Weblogic, Websphere and etc.
- Understanding of SOA/J2EE Architecture
- Perform API level testing, system testing, stress, load and white box testing.
- Highly self-motivated and be able to work with minimal guidance.
- Schedule flexibility.
