A leading lifestyle oriented marketing company is seeking a creative, positive, energetic
Web Designer. In this position you will play a key role in designing all aspects of our web and print presence and visual identity including user interfaces, new web site initiatives, and marketing materials as well as functionality enhancements to our site.
Appropriate candidate will be able to produce compelling visual communications and print/online applications while employing the principles of interactive usability. We are looking for a self-starter that thrives on challenge, has the ability to successfully multi-task, is technical and highly organized. Candidate must be motivated, energetic, and be able to creatively problem solve. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, and appropriate candidates will possess the same attributes.
Qualified candidate must have at least 3-5 years experience in web design, UI design, graphic design or interactive design with extensive experience in the online space. The candidate must have a strong understanding of web technology and all applicants must submit an online portfolio for consideration.
Essential Job Functions
· Designing all aspects of the print/online experience including new web initiatives, promotional banners, emails, landing pages and e-commerce transactional flows
· Assist in requirements gathering
· Participate in collaborative problem solving
· Guide the future development of online features and functionality
· Ensure that web site modifications result in a positive user experience
· Assist in quality assurance of website releases
Essential Job Requirement:
· At least 3 years experience in web design, UI design, graphic design or interactive design with extensive experience in the online space
· Typography
· Information design
· Photo selection
· Interface design
· Creative problem solving
· Expert knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop
· Knowledge of HTML and web programming
· Knowledge of Flash
· Experience with online marketing and technology including SEO and web metrics
· Highly organized and meticulous
· Understanding of web site usability
