Description
Overview:
This position reports to the Manager – Network System development team, and is responsible for assisting in the design, development and maintenance of AWS's high-speed internet access gateway, connection processing, and customer back office functionality.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include designing, developing and working with the following: • Writing access control and monitoring code • Developing and maintaining software applications using C++, Tcl, perl • Building and installing applications on web servers (Apache, AOLServer, Tcl) • Interfacing with Oracle and Postgres databases, SOAP and XML • Building n-tier applications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, EE, or Physical Science preferred • Working knowledge of Linux • Working knowledge of TCP/IP • Working knowledge of HTTP, XML, SOAP • Working knowledge object oriented programming (C++ or Java preferred) • Working knowledge of relational database preferred • Familiarity of multi-threaded programming • Strong work ethic & ability to work in a fast-paced team environment • Javascript and CSS a plus but not required
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Three to five years experience in developing software applications including: analysis, design, coding, testing, deploying and supporting of applications
Excellent technical analysis/design skills
Track record of delivering projects on time
Ability to work with technical and business-oriented teams
Formal training or hands on experience in the following technical skills may be required:

Desired Qualifications:
BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field
