E-Business Suite/Database Administrator
Job Summary:
We are looking for an Oracle Database Administrator who will be responsible for the administration of our E-Business Suite and custom application database platforms. The right candidate must be an effective communicator, self-motivated, and a good team player. This position focuses on day-to-day Oracle database and E-Business Suite administration as well as working with developers and functional managers to drive new features and technology improvements to our database systems. Qualified candidates should be excited about technology and always strive to apply new technology in creative ways.
Abilities
•Exhibit strong problem solving skills
•Exercise great communication and organizational skills
Professional Requirements
•3-6 years experience in database administration, design, development and optimization
•Strong analytical and diagnostic database skills with an emphasis on uptime and performance
•Experience with the complexities of a 24/7 working environment is a must
Required Technical Skills
•At least 3 years administering Oracle E-Business Suite (v12 preferred) and Oracle databases (v10g+ preferred)
•Hands on work maintaining, installing, patching, monitoring, troubleshooting, backup and recovery of Oracle databases
•Ability to tune queries, partitions, etc… to ensure the database is running optimally
•Experience performing basic administration for E-Business Suite including user administration, monitoring, patching, environment cloning, tuning and general troubleshooting
•Experience and understanding of E-Business framework including Apache, OC4J, forms, reports, concurrent managers
•Additional manufacturing or financial functional experience within E-Business Suite is a major plus
•Experience writing structured SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and views is a plus
•Knowledge of Linux and shell scripting is a plus
Other:
•This is a staff position with no supervisory responsibility
