- Experience of Photoshop, Freehand, or Illustrator

- Experience of 3D design, Sound design, and HTML development tools

- Highly proficient in contemporary web standards including CSS layouts and hacks

- Adept in AJAX and DOM scripting projects

- Well versed in the use of JavaScript libraries such as JQuery, Prototype.js, etc.

- Hands-on experience of solving browser problems
- Serious professionalism with a sunny disposition

- PHP / WordPress experience

You can’t spell “Internets” without “Intern”! Our Internets Intern will be working on web design for our new website, design and layout of ning, myspace, and twitter social networking sites and identifying other cost-efficient avenues to build brand awareness and increase viewership.

Candidates should have some knowledge in the following areas:
* Experience in multimedia design.
* Strong foundation in visual/interface design, motion graphics and User Interface design
* Ability to create composite graphics of web page graphics, photoshop mockups
* Conversion of comps into combinations of web ready/web-optimized artwork

ASSOCIATE FLASH DEVELOPER – JOB DESCRIPTION

The Associate Flash Developer is responsible for the creation of Flash animations, motion graphics and Flash programming of Sony Pictures Flash websites, client projects, and other Flash-based elements including ad banners, and presentation assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong Flash design portfolio and offer expertise animating and programming Flash-based user experiences for web audiences. The Associate Flash Developer reports to a Senior Flash Designer. The position is located in Culver City, California.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain single and multiple page Flash-based websites, banner ads and other design-focused projects

• Conceptualize, plan, and execute high quality original Flash designs, animations, motion graphics and Flash programming/interfaces, within the high standards of the Sony Pictures Entertainment brand and its extended properties (movies, television, games)

• Develop new Flash design elements for existing Sony Pictures websites and various client projects

• Manage assigned projects from start to finish, communicate with Web Producers, Web Developers, Production Manager, and other staff members

• Participate, contribute and brainstorm in meetings with clients and client representatives

• Recommend creative solutions to business issues

• Deliver work that’s both high quality and always on time

• Research and evaluate new technologies and competitive websites to continuously improve quality of work

• Identify potential needs for improvements and advise senior management on potential solutions

• Communicate, work closely, and seek regular feedback from Senior Flash Designer and Art Director

• Organize design assets, source files and production files for easy retrieval

• Keep track of hours worked on each project for accounting purpose

Requirements:

• 1-2 years experience in a full time Flash design position catering to brand name clients or equivalent portfolio.

• Ability to work with other peoples source files and add/modify functionality seamlessly

• Strong time management skills required. Self managing, self-starter a must. Must be able to run with a project and make decisions individually

• Experience Flashing web related projects from ad banners to multi-page web sites

• Ability to create consistent, effective visual solutions that unite brand identification, marketing, and business objectives

• Ability to listen to clients’ directions and come up with creative ways to meet requests

• Ability to manage a project with very little supervision

• Strong knowledge of Flash, including AS3, Flash video, etc.

• Strong knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop. After Effects, Premiere and knowledge of 3D design and animation a plus

• Must have a strong understanding of how to create a consistent look and message, and the ability to extend an established look-and-feel through a variety of interactive implementations and media
