User Experience Director

Under the supervision of the Chief Innovation Officer and in conjunction with the Director of Production, the User Experience Director will play a key role in developing creative strategy and will manage day-to-day creative production for the UBM Studios Virtual Product Suite. You will oversee multiple team members, including Designers, 3D Modelers and Video/Audio Engineers to produce high-quality creative solutions that meet business objectives and goals.

The ideal candidate is passionate about digital design, an ambitious self-starter with excellent team management skills and is at ease in a corporate, but casual, environment. This is a key leadership position, but it will require you to roll up your sleeves and deliver hands-on designs as we grow/scale. As such, you must be highly skilled in Photoshop, Illustrator and have a solid understanding of Flash/Flex and their ever-changing capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize, direct, and help execute creative output for our standard products as well as custom projects

• Meet with business partners to understand objectives, translate them into creative solutions and persuasively present those solutions to peers and executives

• Manage and mentor a team of visual, interaction and motion designers and hold them accountable for quality, consistency and timely delivery of creative assets

• Be accountable for the quality of fast-turn, day-to-day creative assets as well as long-term strategic projects

• Manage design projects from concept to completion and make adjustments for inevitable changes in timelines, deadlines, and project goals

Job Requirements:

• Must have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design, Interactive Media or related creative/marketing field with a minimum of 6 years of design team leadership experience or a minimum of 11 years of design team leadership experience in lieu of a degree.
