We’re looking for a team player that can work hand-in-hand with developers and designers in a multi-disciplinary environment, to help us make our technical and creative visions a reality.

KEY STUFF

-Experience building super-high quality consumer web application interfaces.

-Working experience with HTML/DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, XSL, Ajax, JSON

-Strong command of web standards, CSS-based design, cross-browser compatibility.

-Great written/verbal communication skills.

-A desire to provide recommendations to generally make things better. Don’t tell us we can’t do it – tell us how we can, and how we can do it better.

-GUI design experience with Photoshop, Fireworks and other applications. Must be able to cut and convert graphics for use on the web.

-Understanding of the principles behind web, application, mail and database servers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Write front-end code in HTML/DHTML/CSS and JavaScript

-Work with our creative team to make their amazing ideas come true on the Internets

-Translate comps and wireframes into flexible and usable code templates.

-Slice source files (PSDs)

-Create pixel-perfect page layouts using web standard styles and practices

-Apply layouts to production site via templates / CMS / etc.

-Manage implementation, revision, and deployment of your work

-QC and benchmark your work and the work of others. Manage cross-browser compatibility (IE6 too!)

-Implement new ideas and features from conception to prototyping to UI installation and deployment

EXPERIENCE:

-5+ years web development in a professional setting (including dynamic database driven sites – widget creation – CMS, etc.)

-Translating comps and wireframes into flexible and usable code templates

-Rapid prototyping of new products and features

-Building interactive web modules/widgets/whathaveyou

-Working with a development team and maintaining and interacting with a development environment (Versioning, using Eclipse, etc.)

-Unix style command line experience a huge plus

-JQuery / YahooUI / Prototype /Script.aculo.us experience a big plus

-AJAX and JSON experience a big plus

-Experience with templating languages (Freemarker, Velocity, etc.) a plus

-Working closely with a team the might change specifications mid-project but still delivering a finished product that exceeds their expectations

I am a Holistic Chiropractor. I use herbs, homeopathy, and electro acupuncture. This procedure is similar to a non-surgical acupuncture face-lift. It makes you look better and is healthy for you as opposed to Botox etc. That is why it fits in well with my practice.

I am looking for 1 or 2 estheticians.

My current esthetician is taking an indefinitely leave of absence. She may be gone for a few months or permanently. So there are her regular clients to start with. This is important because we want to treat them right and we want someone they really like. Jen (the esthetician who is leaving) will be conducting the interview.

Even thought there is a built in clientele I expect the person taking this position to do her own marketing as well. You should be used to making monthly specials, sending out e-mails, signing people up for programs.

You can even do door to door marketing. We offer a free special to people you feel are qualified and may purchase more services. The upside for you is that I do pay you for these. $20. You may also get a tip. These are not to be given out just to friends who are getting a free session. They are for people you feel are qualified to buy more. I understand not everyone will buy more. They are given to local business owners, hair salons etc. People with an income.

If you have an existing clientele all the better, if you live locally and know a lot of people better yet. To be clear, I will help you to start, with some existing clientele, my clientele, and marketing incentives but you are responsible to work the system.

I may hire one or two people.

Our other deal is that I can give my patients free sessions. I pay you $20. Sometimes I give them 4 to 8 depending on the circumstances. Remember, if you sell them a plan then you may get $46. So some are higher and some are lower.

It is a big plus if you all ready have a clientele of your own.

I know the economy is tough right now and estheticians are getting hit hard so all you can do is promote more and be innovative. There are people who will pay for these services. AND THIS SERVICE IN UNIQUE.

I am looking for someone who wants to be here for a long time.

Also, I am looking for someone who wants to work here exclusively. The reason is because if times are slow I expect you to work at getting people in. Run specials, get new people, market etc. If you are working in 2 different places then you end up going to where ever they are giving you more people. I am looking for someone who is committed to working here and building things up here.
