My client, an early stage well funded startup, is looking to add 2 engineers to their small, but growing team. You will be working on very interesting and challenging problems in the area of scaling web applications, info retrieval, searching and organizing the web, processing huge amounts of info, etc. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career or for an engineer with up to 10 years of experience. We are looking for someone who loves startups and wants to build a great company / product. My client has customers and revenue, and funding will never be an issue. As far as startups go, this is a very stable venture.
Skills and Experience:
Very strong CS Fundamentals.
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science.
Ability to learn and pick up new skills.
Any experience with Java, Ruby, Python, C++, etc. and willingness and desire to use Python/Django and other web technologies.
Experience with javascript/ajax frameworks is a plus
Strong desire to work at a startup and/or prior experience working at a startup.
We need a hands-on generalist who can work on all tiers of the application.
Passion and enthusiasm – any side projects or Open Source projects should be noted.
