PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

Due to our continued growth, we currently have an open SEO Lead Strategist position in our Customer Operations group. The SEO Lead Strategist is responsible for driving search strategy for our FindLaw strategic clients. As part of the role, the SEO Lead Strategist is responsible for client satisfaction, revenue retention and managing the clients’ search program to their goals. This position is a leader of a team and reports into the Manager, Search Engine Marketing. As a leader of a team, the SEO Lead Strategist is responsible for program reporting and analysis, best practice adherence, and employee development, coaching and performance management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy (30%)

Drive a holistic search strategy for FindLaw clients including over-seeing SEO best practice implementation, content recommendations and syndication, blogging objectives, video and social media optimization, reputation management and press release and editorial outreach.

Work on the future of SEO within Findlaw and partner with the Manager, Search Engine Marketing, and Product Development in the creation of new products.

Uncover, understand and achieve client goals and business objectives.

Anticipate client questions with thought out answers and solutions.

Consulting (30%)

Work closely with clients to understand their marketing objectives and strategies, analyze the performance of their web program against those objectives and recommend strategies and tactics that will help realize the customers’ long-term internet marketing goals.

Develop SEO best practices in partnership with Marketing, Product Development and the SEO advisory board and communicate them to the SEO team, FindLaw clients, field sales consultants, account managers and fulfillment staff.

Ability to take complex SEO ideas and explain them to clients.

Develop deep relationships with key clients and add value to the client relationship.

Career Management of Team (40%)

Motivate and manage team members to achieve high levels of performance.

Train, coach and develop employees on the SEO Strategic Accounts team on an ongoing basis in order to improve performance.

Utilize E-quality to review calls and provide feedback to the SEO Strategy team.

Assist team members in formulating development plans and goals that motivate the employee, encourage better performance, and support overall FindLaw strategy and objectives.
Prepare performance reviews.

Partner with the Manager, Search Engine Marketing in the interviewing and selection of new team members.

Manage the Strategic Accounts team to deliver effective client programs.

Minimum Qualifications

4-Year College Degree (Business or Marketing preferred)

Experience

3-5 years of Internet Marketing and Search Engine Optimization, keyword research and analysis.

2-3 years of people management experience

Knowledge

Expertise in SEO keyword research and analysis

Experience with Omniture site catalyst

Expertise in SEM, PPC (Pay-Per-Click), linking and social media

Skills

Excellent presentation and communication skills – written and verbal

Excellent employee development skills

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

3+ years interactive agency experience

Excellent client development skills

Ability to thrive in a fast paced organization
