Job Description and Responsibilities:
Will serve as a Web Application Developer for the OIG (Office of the Inspector General) Intranet project
Writes reusable widgets for an existing SharePoint 2007 infrastructure allowing end users to maintain their own content
Understands, develops, implements, and maintains web application frameworks utilizing:
o Widget development and implementation in web site publishing frameworks
Ensures project management and defined software development standards and procedures are followed
Satisfies requirements, meets agreed to completion date(s), and performs unit and integration tests for products developed..
Works with system architect and accepting content in various forms, such as excel sheets, word documents, pdf etc from end users.
Works with a graphics designer to adapt a consistent look and feel and required for a given task
Author XSL style sheets allowing flexible rendering of content across the site
Works with the System architect and other team members on application and content architecture and work distribution
Sets up content architecture in a current site structure, with emphasis on end users being able to maintain their content themselves
Responsible for providing support to end users in maintaining content on their various web pages
Responsible for following project management / lifecycle development processes, procedures, and database standards to achieve quality assurance.
Responsible for creating test standards and documents, and reviewing team members work for quality assurance purposes
Qualifications:
A minimum of 4 years of experience working on web based development projects involving Microsoft technologies.
Demonstrated expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML/XSL, ASP.NET 2.0, C#, TSQL and PL/SQL and object oriented concepts
Good team working skills and meticulous attention to detail
Experience with SharePoint 2007
