At LanguageMate, we are developing innovative solutions to bridge the language gap in healthcare. Persons with limited English proficiency (LEP) are among the most vulnerable of the country’s population and face significant barriers to obtaining adequate care at medical facilities. Enabling healthcare providers to communicate with LEP patients in a linguistically competent and culturally sensitive manner is at the core of our mission. Our dynamic work environment consists of a team of experts in linguistics, anthropology, cross-cultural communication, health education as well as professionals in information technology, interactive design and multimedia production.

Position Description

We are seeking two experienced individuals with a proven track record to join our team immediately in a full-time capacity. The Product Manager will coordinate the development of language assistance applications.

Responsibilities will include:

Taking ownership of 2-3 products and leading them through the entire software development life cycle;

Recommending best practices in developing multiple products at once;

Managing processes involved in creating content and developing online learning courses;

Liaising between the research team, tech team, curriculum developers, potential clients, and all other involved parties;

Working in conjunction with designers and programmers to create a finished product;

Establishing timelines and drafting design documents;

Designing assessments for content and coordinating with content producers.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess the following qualifications:

3-5 years of experience and/or a background in Product Management;

Knowledge of or experience with products that involve a wide range of expertise, including e-learning and medical/nursing professionals;

At least a BA, more advanced degree preferred;

Must be authorized to work in the US;

Knowledge of kiosk and touch screen technology is a huge plus;

Understands the lifecycle management of products.
