As a Systems Admin Support Engineer your duties will consist of a broad spectrum of projects ranging from the development and maintenance of our Global Network of Windows and Linux based servers and administration of internal systems to running load tests for our customers.
This is a very dynamic position and you will be exposed to all aspects of our services business including web applications, system administration, support, network operations and professional services.
Qualifications:
Assist in planning for network wide capacity needs of our global network.
Manage software rollouts to our large scale distributed network.
Maintain close working relationships with vendors (hosting providers) to ensure availability of our network
Deploy, maintain and troubleshoot Linux and Windows servers running mostly a LAMP or WAMP architecture.
Automate processes using shell scripts, batch scripts, Perl or similar languages.
Helping to analyze, develop and deploy and maintain solutions for internal operations.
Advanced network troubleshooting.
24x7x365 operational environment.
Requirements:
Advanced experience with Windows 2003, Unix/Linux, DNS, Apache
Experience with system level monitoring using tools similar to Cacti, Nagios, MRTG
In depth knowledge of web technologies and how they interact with each other (HTML/PHP/PERL/Javascript)
Must be able to analyze, streamline and automate tasks via shell scripting
Must be familiar with RAID solutions/technology
Experience with VMWare in a production environment is desired.
Experience with SAN technologies or GFS/OCFS are a plus
Experience in a data center environment is a plus
Supporting an Oracle environment is a plus
Must be willing to be part of an on-call rotation
Linux,Unix and Windows server administration skills
Knowledge of Internet protocols
Expertise with MS Office suite
Intermediate experience with JavaScript, Perl, Networking
B.S. in Computer Science or technical certification(s) in computer hardware or software
