As a Deployment Program Manager, you are responsible for ensuring a high quality, on-schedule launch of an end-to-end service. This leadership role will have cross-functional ownership of all activities required for a product release and will coordinate with external teams where there are dependencies. You will be working with development, test and network operations teams, along with product management & technical account managers to put together plans and execute. Expectations are high so you will take ownership of this project and drive the team to deliver a successful product launch.

Responsibilites include:

• Resource management, schedule planning and risk mitigation

• Identifying areas of process enhancement and implementing solutions to scale the organization, while working closely with the extended and cross functional teams

• Collaborate with other cross functional teams such as Business Development, Product Management, Engineering, Test and Operations teams

• Ensure all the deliverables are met as required for the project

• Work autonomously and checks-in as decisions are made, proactively identifying potential issues and escalating only when necessary

• Solves problems creatively, with a keen desire to continually learn and grow, motivated by success

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

• 5+ years overall experience and 2+ years experience in a project/program management role, managing cross-functional projects

• Extensive experience in project/program management including resource management, schedule planning and risk mitigation. Including experience in creating or working within PMO,

Change management and Governance types of environments.
• Thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle

• Excellent understanding of process management improvement practices, analytical tools, and practical application for results

• Excellent training and presentation skills with solid communication capabilities and practices, both oral and written

• Experience using Primavera TeamPlay, Microsoft Project, or similar project management tool is required

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with other leaders on sensitive and/or emotional issues

• Experience working in a global environment, leading teams located in multiple regions

• Prior cellular phone/2-way radio/paging or similar wireless subscriber engineering experience

• Respected and trusted leader with a proven track record of achievement and solid technical skills, performance driven

• Reputation as a change agent and ability to influence senior stakeholders

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS:

We are looking for an experienced, talented, and motivated software QA engineer who understands the mobile landscape with hands-on experience in the development or testing of complex software systems. The candidate will work very closely with handset development engineering, product management, server development engineering, and customers in shepherding devices from cradle to grave. The candidate must have experience creating and executing test plans for functional regression, deployment and integration testing. As a Software QA Engineer, you will be responsible for test planning, test design review and test execution.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test designs and test cases
• Perform integration, system, and regression tests at a black box level during product deployment
• Identify, verify, report, and regress bugs; perform root cause analysis to identify issues

• Produce metrics for defects and test results.
• Identify and analyze opportunities for test coverage and test process improvement
• Coordinate test-related work between teams at different locations, both locally and off-shore

• Coordinate with international development and in-country engineers to resolve issues/defects

• Work closely with Development to understand new features
• Represent Quality Assurance in requirements analysis and review
• Participate in the design reviews and test planning reviews for new features and customer deployments

• Review Training material and User Guides for each deployment
• Creates training materials and conducts training of regional teams for product deployment testing

• Provide training to new hire QA and to regional test teams

• Produce and lead others in product configuration customizations

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

• Bachelors degree in a software or systems engineering discipline required

• At least 4 years working experience in software quality assurance or test required

• At least 4 years experience testing mobile handset software
• Minimum of 4 years wireless device testing a MUST

• Knowledge of Linux and/or Android operating systems a must

• Testing experience on at least two device operating systems: PPC, Smartphone and/or Symbian a must

• 3+ years developing or testing complex software systems
• Knowledge of GPRS, 2.5, 3G wireless technologies a must

• Strong experience with Mobile Applications products in consumer markets (handheld device, mobile Phones)

• Must be familiar with software development processes, software QA and testing methodologies

• Minimum of two years experience with bug database and test management software
• Solid understanding of metrics-based QA management and software methodology
• A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
• Ability to prioritize tasks well and work on multiple test projects at the same time

• Working knowledge of Windows: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, etc

• Tack-sharp analytical ability
• Good project planning
