Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 6:30 pm; ideal schedule would be Part-time in August and then ramp up to Full-time in September or October, but could start Full-time in August for the right person

Job Description:

As a hands-on test automation engineer, your primary focus will be to design, develop and execute test automation framework using Selenium. You will contribute to the overall quality of our products and code by developing and running comprehensive test suite of automated test cases against every production ready build. Field Service Engineer (Novi )

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an individual to work as field service engineer to support the machines that we build on site. The support area would generally be in SE Michigan, however it is possible that travel be involved for 3-5 day intervals. Very Occasionally, 2 week intervals occur for overseas situations. Our equipment is mainly in the US, Mexico, Philippines, Germany, Australia and China.

Often trips involve troubleshooting a problem, making changes (upgrades) or serving as on site support in a precautionary sense.

When not on the road, support work would be performed at our Novi, Michigan facility.

This job is perfect for a controls engineer who likes to use his hands more.

DUTIES

“Start Up” equipment on customer’s floor, make program changes to software as needed (not write from the ground up), trouble shoot electrical, hydraulic and mechanical problems. Talk with Customer to understand problems and communicate progress. Training customer on how to use the equipment.

Other duties will include writing service call reports, tracking expenses, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

A programmer/Controls engineer who is good with his hands and has good communication skills.

Hands on practical experience is important in the following areas:

- Bending and flaring tube (plumbing)

- Using a multimeter

- Troubleshooting hydraulics

- Troubleshooting electrical systems

- Allen Bradley PLC programming

- MS .NET and Visual Basic programming
