PRESCHOOL TEACHER
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and implement a developmental and age appropriate program for children
Ensure a safe, healthy and nurturing classroom environment
Prepare materials and lesson plans which meet the individual needs of all children
Perform ongoing screening, assessments and formal observations of childrens development
Develop trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Maintain ongoing, open communication with parents and conduct parent conferences
Participate in a multi-disciplinary team approach
Contribute to ongoing development and evaluation of centers goals and objectives
Plan and attend parent/teacher meetings, in-service trainings, and events
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
A valid California Child Development Teacher permit or presently eligible for permit application with proof
BA in Early Childhood Education or related field
1 year of teaching experience with young children and diverse populations preferred
Experience leading a team in implementing a developmental and age appropriate curriculum
Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents and other staff
Good communication, problem solving, and priority setting skills as well as maintaining an overall positive and professional attitude
Able to bend and lift up to 50 pounds
COMPENSATION and BENEFITS:
Salary depending on experience plus 18 PTO days, full cafeteria plan for health, dental and numerous other benefits

Prospect Hill Academy Charter School is a highly successful, urban K-12 public school with the mission of preparing each student for success in college, fostering responsible citizenship, and inspiring a lifelong love of learning.

We are currently seeking applications for the Executive Assistant to the Head of School. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Serve as the institutional liaison to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, completing all mandatory reports enumerated on the annual Superintendents’ Checklist (http://www.doe.mass.edu/mailings/checklist.html) and required by the Charter School Office, including the Annual Report and 5-year renewal applications
* Oversee K-12 Admissions, including running the annual admissions lotteries, collaborating with campus-based administrative assistants, and coordinating student recruitment efforts
* Document and monitor the work of the K-12 Administrative team by attending and recording minutes from weekly meetings and maintaining a web-based accountability matrix
* Coordinate K-12 Parent Engagement and Outreach efforts including compiling a monthly school newsletter, monitoring the work of the campus-based Parent Advisory Boards, and providing administrative support to K-12 community events
* Serve as the K-12 webmaster, ensuring the school’s website is accurate, updated, and reflective of the school’s mission, vision, and values
* Act as the district administrator for the school’s database
* Manage projects as assigned by the Head of School and/or the Head of School’s designees
* Prepare and compile materials for presentations and meetings
* Develop and oversee the K-12 master calendar
* Track and record administrative attendance
* Provide executive and administrative support to the Head of School

* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and diplomacy
* Ability to interact and communicate effectively with Board members, parents, teachers, students, volunteers, visitors and vendors
* Ability to handle multiple priorities and ensure timely follow-up

Know and follow all recommended food health and preparation, safety and sanitation guidelines for child nutrition program
Receive food deliveries from vendor and check them for quantity and quality
Measure and record food temperature daily when food is delivered to the site
Report any violations of temperature or other quality standards, or quantity to site supervisor immediately
Adhere to sanitation and safety procedures prescribed for the EHS and HS environment by state licensing
Clean and sanitize all used dishes, pots, pans and utensils daily using approved sanitation methods and return all items to their proper storage site
Assist the teaching staff and cooperate in a supportive role carrying out developmentally appropriate activities for children in the classroom
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

The Karishim Swim Team is seeking an energetic, experienced and technique-oriented coach to help grow an already expanding competitive program. The team practices year round at an indoor pool conveniently located on the border of Needham and Newton.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the promotion, development and implementation of a safe and competitive environment for all swim team members.
Emphasize to all swimmers the importance of proper technique, teamwork, sportsmanship, learning and fun.
Inspire and challenge each swimmer to achieve their goals and develop positive self-esteem.
Assist head coach in maintaining performance and swim meet records for swimmers.
Attend and assist head coach in all swim team practices, US and JCC swim meets, Championship meets and special events.
Serve as positive role model to all swim team members and staff.
Assist in formulating a team line-up for all dual meets.
Assist in the organization, recruitment of swim team parents for home meets, away swim meets, and swim team banquet and special swim team events.
Assist in communicating to parents about meet information.
Maintain communication with Head Coach and team parents regarding swimmers progress.
Schedule:
20 hours/week mid-March to mid-July.
