SingleFeed: Web Application Engineer for Start Up

Location: San Francisco, CA
URL: www.singlefeed.com

Singlefeed is a leading company in the field of data feed optimization and management, venture backed, and just about profitabe!

We are now in a position to invest more into our product and modernize our technology stack in order to strengthen our foundation.

Our requirements are:
- B.S, M.S in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Extraordinary software engineering talent.
- Substantial experience developing web applications.
- The number of years of professional experience is not as important as talent and having developed web apps.
- We prefer strong ruby on rails experience, with ability to write good JS, ajax, and basic CSS, although we know a good engineer can pick up Ruby quickly.
- Flexibility to pick up other languages, such as Java , is a plus. Our attitude is to pick the right tool for the job and do a superb cross language integration (we use Thrift for that matter).
- Be comfortable in an environment where we encourage frequent releases (weekly, at least) and constant iteration of the product.

The ideal candidate should think of herself/himself as a startup minded engineer ready to take ownership and make large, immediate contributions. You can truly think through the product and help in product decisions, design pretty and smart interfaces and are capable of tackling anything else that might come up. You will be required to be autonomous and not require much oversight. Over time, your role can quickly evolve into leadership as you own more of the front end.

Since we still have some Perl legacy on the front end, there will be some tasks for moving the code over to the new ruby platform.

We are working on a large and important problem: helping merchants improve their sales, so we like to see passion for the product solutions we are building.

To apply: Send a resume to jobs@singlefeed.com
