Responsibilities:

Required qualifications:

â€¢ Graduate-level degree with concentration in a quantitative discipline such as statistics computer science, mathematics, economics, or operations research OR Associateship/Fellowship in the Casualty Actuarial Society.
â€¢ 5+ years of experience with statistical modeling and data mining in a P&C insurance context using large and complex datasets. Experience with personal lines rating plan modeling is a strong plus. Knowledge of credit attributes is preferred but not required.
â€¢ 2+ years of management experience. Ability to effectively manage own and associates time while multitasking between multiple projects in a dynamic business environment with a variety of internal stakeholders, partners and customers.
â€¢ Strong verbal and written communications skills, listening and teamwork skills, and effective presentation skills. The DBA will develop, drive and maintain OpenTV Database activities, initiatives, owning responsibility for all aspects of data storage and integrity within the OpenTV and its customer databases running in Windows environment and also provide focused operational DBA technical support. Provide Oracle Consulting services for development and customers, including performance tuning, Oracle 10G & 11i new features use and implementation. Solid Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS internals, data access paths and CBO behavior.

The DBA will collaborate with development and QA teams to tune new and existing SQL, PL/SQL and other database access interfaces. The DBA will assist with daily operations and support, provide off-hours maintenance and oversee the implementation database.

Owns all aspects of data storage relating to Oracle 10G RAC Databases.

Develop and maintains OpenTV Oracle databases, including baseline definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines and security.
