This will be the highest performing Intelligence engine for smart phones that increases efficiency of bundled service providers and internet ad brokers. You will contribute to Openwaves technical vision. You will help create and drive engineering objectives. You will work across the Product Groups to ensure end to end engineering development consistency. This position requires designing and developing database related components for the Mobile Data analytics system using Java/ORM and PL/SQL.
Position Requirements
Strong database fundamentals Design, Performance, Security, Availability, Recoverability.
Strong Data Warehouse fundamentals Design, Schema, ETL vs ELT, Data Mart
10+ years of strong application engineering experience in designing high volume and highly scalable and available systems
5+ years experience in designing and developing DB components using Java/ORM and PL/SQL.
5+ years development experience in designing and developing large scale database application
5+ years of experience with designing and developing DB components of large TB per day Data Warehouse.
2+ years experience with designing and developing application that uses distributed databases.
2+ years experience with designing and developing application using open source ORM frameworks like Hibernate and other DB interfaces like OCI/OCCI/JDBC.
5+ years experience with designing and refactoring DB systems for performance
2+ years experience with designing the DB components for high throughput load of clustered ETL.
5+ years experience in integrating the DB components with reporting engines like BO and Pentaho.
MS or PhD Degree in CS or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
Desired Skills:
1+ years experience with designing and developing application that uses No SQL based technologies like HBase and Cassandra
2+ years experience with multi tenant DB design and development for Cloud and SaaS
2+ years of experience designing and developing DB components of MPP DB based application.
1+ years experience designing and developing DB components of Columnar DB based system.
1+ years experience in DB manageability SNMP.
1+ years experience in designing and developing RDBMS components to work with non RDBMS systems like hadoop /sqoop.
