Interactive Architect – JavaScript

POP is looking for an Interactive Architect who will help move the needle forward at POP. The Interactive Architect possesses breadth and depth, leadership and strategic thought, and expert knowledge of presentation layer frameworks. Architects mentor and manage their team. This position reports to the Director of Interactive Development within POP Technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages team members

• Defines Interactive Dev Processes to facilitate streamlined Creative/Technology collaboration and delivery

• Collaborates with project leadership to define project direction and goals

• Participates in discovery meetings and client presentations when required

• Responsible for making key technology decisions that support the project goals

• Influences the functional/interactive quality of all projects either directly or through mentorship

• Strategizes and develops proper flow of information, ensuring that design solutions integrate technical and business logic

• Works well with Software Development, Quality Assurance, and Technical Analyst teams to tackle complex problems

• Responsible for architecting back-end integration to meet the requirements of the user interface

• Authors, contributes and is accountable for communicating to others POP’s coding standards and SEO best practices

• Maintains and extends technology and process standards for the group

• Responsible for keeping POP up-to-date with technology issues that should be considered

• Motivates, challenges and inspires new methods of executions

• Actively participates in work critiques

• Ensures project deadlines are met

• Maintains and contributes to positive creative culture

• Serves as a mentor and leader for other members of the team

• Evangelizes and practices POP’s commitment to developing exceptional interactive experiences

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5 years experience in the Interactive space

• Expert knowledge of AJAX, Object-Oriented JavaScript, Prototype/JQuery (or similar) semantic XHTML, and CSS

• Premier coding, architecture, and organizational skills

• Online portfolio with exceptional interactive experiences

• Successful experience working with clients and internal partners

• Expert knowledge in writing reusable libraries

• Expert knowledge of capabilities of different platforms and browsers, and their design constraints on the Web
• Advanced, proven knowledge of bleeding edge platforms (Facebook or similar)

• Leads the future of interactive development and the belief in standards, accessibility and SEO

• Works exceedingly well with fellow team members from all disciplines

• Proactive, constructive, and committed attitude; demonstrates great follow-through

The new social media company in Los Angeles is looking for top-notch editorial interns who love pop culture, and can write articles starting in June. We are looking for those who can contribute right away, take on responsibilities, and deliver great ideas and well written articles. Duties include researching and engaging online communities to identify and attract traffic.

QUALIFICATIONS:

THE POSITION

Pop Art is looking for a proven leader to shape our technology consulting practice and manage, mentor and coach our team of developers.

As the Director of Software Development Services, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with Pop Art Executive Management to chart a course that inspires the team and provides a roadmap for success as our company continues to evolve into one of the world’s leading interactive marketing agencies.

As the supervisor of our development team, you will be responsible for recruiting, retaining and growing a team of developers. You will provide coaching and training to your team through code reviews, learning and growth plans, regular check-ins, and semi-annual performance reviews.
