Service-now.com, based in Solana Beach, is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Technical Support team to capitalize on the company’s momentum and help build a new market in On Demand IT service and asset management solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This individual will be responsible for direct end-user support of Service-now.com customers as they customize our software (via configuration and scripting) to meet their needs. This includes online web/email support as well as direct telephone support as required. After hours/weekend rotational on-call support will be required. This position is in the Technical Support group, a team working directly with the Service-now.com development staff and tech savvy customers.

We are seeking people who are looking for an opportunity to grow their career while working in a rapidly growing organization that is highly focused on having happy employees and happy customers.

EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate is a college graduate with a Computer Science, Math, Physics (or similar BS) degree or equivalent in experience, 2-4 years working in a development or support role. Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Must have solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

• Experience with databases such as MySQL, Oracle, DB2

• Experience with Linux and/or UNIX including command line expertise

• Strong personal commitment to quality service

• Experience dealing with technical end-users in a support role

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Working knowledge of the technologies web applications, networks, protocols and email (SMTP, POP3)

• Working knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP
• AJAX, CSS, XML experience a plus

• Experience with web services via API’s is a plus

Job Description:
Based in the Solana Beach office, the Developer/IT Analyst will join a small and energetic team responsible for the technology capabilities of a growing money management firm (formerly part of Morgan Stanley). This role will assist with database development, creating custom reports for clients and internal management, improving existing reporting systems, and various other technology driven projects. This role will require some custom programming, but will be focused on using existing tools to meet the business requirements of the firm. This role does not entail administrative functions such as network monitoring, end user support or infrastructure maintenance, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the design, development and management various databases and applications;

• Contribute development efforts to SQL data mining and reporting;
• Develop and manage data integrations between internal and external systems;
• Assist with ongoing maintenance and development of the firm’s SharePoint Environment

Requirements/Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in development with object oriented application design. It is equally important that the successful candidate demonstrates great attention to detail and is able to meet deadlines consistently and efficiently while managing multiple efforts simultaneously.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent

• Strong character references

• 1-3 years solid .NET development using C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET

• 1-2 years with SQL 2005/2008 Advanced TSQL, Views, SP, Functions and Triggers

• Experience with SSRS; 2005 Required; 2008 a plus

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment under time pressures

• Innovative, detail oriented, and well organized

• Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously

Desired Skills:

• Experience with HTML, CSS, XML

• Experience with SharePoint 2007/MOSS

• Experience with industry software applications: Advent, Bloomberg, Interactive Data

• Fixed Income Analytics

Muttropolis, a special place devoted to dogs and cats, is looking for a full-time graphic designer to work in our Solana Beach corporate office. Muttropolis was founded in 2002 to provide the best products for the pets in our lives, and has since grown into a multi-channel retailer with 3 community stores in Southern California. The successful candidate will be passionate about design, well-organized, and looking to contribute to a fun and growing company.

Duties will include, but are not limited to, prepping web content and product images, creating email blasts from concept through coding, developing marketing content for web, print, and store use, and general website design and maintenance.

Required Skills:

• Ability to code HTML without help of a WYSIWYG (i.e. you can use Dreamweaver, but shouldn’t rely on it for basic HTML updating.)

• Proficient in CSS with knowledge of JavaScript and other common web design tools
