We are an SF-based startup looking a great (full-time contract to hire) interactive designer to add to our team. We are angel-funded, and are developing a set of social media applications for nonprofits and socially-conscious brands.

You MUST have/be:

  • Physically located in/near San Francisco and capable of coming in everyday to the office (very occasional tele-commuting is OK)
  • Great work ethic (flakes may not apply), sense of humor and willingness to work long hours (a 60 hour week is a slow week for us)
  • A solid portfolio of interactive design projects you have done.
  • Experience working closely with the engineering team in an iterative design/development process.
  • A solid understanding of user experience design, especially as it relates to Social Media today.
  • Great Photoshop skills.

You IDEALLY have:

RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be working within a small team to develop the GroupSpaces.com web application, with varied responsibilities including the following:

- Develop features for the GroupSpaces.com web application, turning high level descriptions into things users will love
- Collaborate on wireframes and design drafts and turn these into well-implemented, functional user interfaces
- Work with the back-end development team to implement interactive and AJAX-based functionality
