Telerik has a great new opportunity in our Waltham, MA office for a Sales Engineer that will be focused on our web application testing tool – ArtOfTest’s WebUI Test Studio. They will communicate directly with clients as well as serve as a technical resource for members of the sales team by addressing clients’ complex technical inquiries. The ideal candidate will possess a firm understanding of .NET as well as have experience in software testing and quality assurance.

As a Sales Engineer, you will be providing support through our online ticketing system, email, and over the phone to both prospective clients and current customers. Using your WebUI Test Studio knowledge and understanding of ASP.NET, you will be the main technical contact for WebUI Test Studio in our Waltham office. You will analyze, track, and resolve technical problems in a considerate and professional manner and communicate closely with our development team. You will also be leading the discovery efforts with prospects in order to find out their needs, and then tailoring demonstrations to show how WebUI Test Studio can help resolve these issues. In addition, you will work with prospects to successfully setup and work out any problems they encounter during the trial period.

The ideal candidate is someone who is outgoing, detail oriented, and has a strong desire to assist others. You will be acting as a consultant for both technical and business users and thus audience-centric communication and presentation skills are a must.

• Quickly become an expert in WebUI Test Studio and constantly be on top of product roadmaps and future enhancements

• Respond to requests for proposal and requests for information for prospects & customers

• Position WebUI Test Studio and our value proposition throughout the sales cycle

• Research competing products and produce insightful competitive information for both the marketing and development teams

• Identify customers’ technical challenges and needs in order to isolate and target a specific solution selling strategy
• Ability to understand and position a software technology solution to customers ranging from small to Fortune 1000
• Work as an individual contributor to generate, qualify, manage and close deals
• Maintain an accurate record of all sales opportunities throughout the sales process using Telerik’s CRM system

• Provide technical support to sales team and perspective customers throughout the sales cycle
• Work with client development projects to assess problems and suggest appropriate corrective measures

• Create videos and demos showcasing the features and capabilities of WebUI Test Studio

• Make positive contribution to Telerik’s support team and help to maintain Telerik’s exemplary support reputation

• Log bugs and feature requests
• Propose ideas for Knowledge Base articles and contribute technical content
• Create customized product demonstration for prospects – deliver both remote and on-site demonstrations
• Develop targeted presentations for key stakeholders and senior executives to demonstrate our understanding of customer’s revenue processes, key pain points, business objectives and how our solution maps to these requirements.

• Identify customers’ technical challenges and needs in order to isolate and target a specific solution selling strategy
• Elevate the level of knowledge within the sales team around WebUI Test Studio

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Knowledge of the .NET platform and/or prior programming knowledge in HTML, ASP, ASP.NET (C#, VB.NET)

• Experience in QA and web testing software

• Previous background in a technical customer-oriented position is required

• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, in written, verbal and presentation form
• Outstanding presentation skills

• Willingness to learn new technologies and a desire to improve technical skills
• Must possess the ability to work with minimal supervision, independently and as part of a team

• Demonstrated ability to define customer requirements and exceed their expectations
• Assertive team player with ability to establish and maintain bonding and rapport
• Self-driven personality; high energy level
• A degree in Computer Science or related field

• Knowledge of JavaScript, XML and CSS will be considered highly advantageous

• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Technical writing skills are a big plus, but are not required
• Demonstrated ability to define customer requirements and exceed their expectations
