JOB DESCRIPTION

This student intern position has three main components: hazardous material inventory reconciliation, data collection, and data entry. During the lab and other field work, the student intern will work under the direct supervision of the Hazardous Material Management Technologist. During reconciliation they visit every hazardous material storage location and scan the barcodes on the hazardous materials containers, add barcodes and collect all relevant hazardous material data. The computer data entry portion involves entering data collected from the field and entered into the Chemical Information System. An additional component of the position entails answering calls from customers, entering information from Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs), locating MSDSs, analyzing and manipulating data in the program, and a benchmark NEPA evaluation process.

For the Air Quality Program, the intern would have the responsibility for developing Spare The Air Day educational and outreach initiatives for Sandia staff; keeping informed of weather forecasts; announcing STA Days to the site, both electronically and via outdoor signage; data analysis; and other tasks as identified. The Environmental Planning and Ecology Program activities will include supporting wildlife surveys; collecting, managing, and evaluating survey data; and preparing announcements, flyers, and other wildlife awareness communications. Export Logistics Customer Service (Bensenville, IL)

DESCRIPTION

Argents Express Group is a security, safety, and service driven logistics provider offering all modes of U.S. domestic and international shipping services and customs brokerage. Argents was founded over 30 years ago; since that time, we have steadily expanded and now have offices in several key U.S. markets and partners in more than 100 countries.

We are looking for an ambitious individual to join our customer service and operations team in our ORD (Bensenville, IL) office. The ideal candidate will have export freight forwarding experience — and more specifically ocean export knowledge.

DUTIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Processing export documentation

• Complete AES filings

• Performing compliance checks

• Prepare pre-alerts for overseas agents

• Assembling documentation packs for clients

• Communicating with customers regarding shipments

• Booking of shipments with vendors

• Confirming movement (track and trace)

• Issuing of our invoice

QUALIFICATIONS

• Fanatical customer service and communication skills

• High attention to detail
