Summary
Perform a variety of programming assignments require knowledge of established programming procedures and data processing requirements. Maintain and modify existing programs, and create new programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Able to decipher current written software program in ASP Classic, JavaScript and VBScript while continuing to build functionality using existing code and processes while implementing new functions.

- Code, test, and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology.
- Refine data and format final product.
- Maintain and modify programs; make approved changes by amending flow charts, develop detailed programming logic, and coding changes.
- Test and develop programming modifications.
- Write new program code using prescribed specifications.
- Evaluate simple interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related or unrelated part.
- Confer with users to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs.
- Write and maintain programming documentation (user guides, etc.)
- Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored, or accessed.
- Document programming problems, conflicts, or bugs and resolutions for future reference.
- Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource and other duties as assigned.

Additional responsibilities
- Provide training to staff members.
- Provide technical support with computer desktops, software suites, and network structure.

Skill Requirements:

- Must possess advanced knowledge of ASP Classic, ASP.net, AJAX, JavaScript, VBScript, VB.net, SQL 2000/2005/2008
- Able to clearly and concisely convey messages through written documentation or verbal communication
- Able to learn on the job, and gather knowledge outside of the realm of the daily routine.
- Able to utilize SQL markup, and maintain SQL databases and functions.
- Able to create Stored Procedures, Views, Tables, SQL Statements, Triggers, etc., proficiently and with best practices.

- Able to assess and solve security related issues with software, as well as end-user and network security.
