LEVEL Studios is currently seeking a UI Developer to join our growing team of professional designers, developers, and engineers. Candidates should have a strong interest in working on engaging, interactive projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with art directors, project managers, engineers, and other team members to build dynamic user experiences that meet or exceed client objectives.
Translate design comps into standards-based, SEO-friendly HTML and CSS code.
Develop templates and front-end components for various content management systems and social media frameworks.
Perform maintenance and content publishing tasks to keep client sites current and constantly improving the user experience.
Requirements:
2+ years experience designing, building, and maintaining web sites.
A.S., B.A., or B.S. in graphic design, electronic/interactive design, computer science, MIS, or related fields is preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively in teams with other specialized individuals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong understanding of web standards and cross-browser compatibility.
Advanced skills in HTML, XHTML, and CSS with the ability to hand-code.
Working knowledge of JavaScript including object-oriented JavaScript, DOM scripting, and AJAX.
Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop and/or Fireworks for producing and optimizing graphics for the Web.
Experience with one or more JavaScript libraries/frameworks, such as Prototype/script.aculo.us, MooTools, jQuery, etc. is recommended.
Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages or application frameworks such as Java, JSP, .Net, PHP, Python, or Ruby on Rails is a plus.
Experience with Flash and Flex is a plus.
Experience developing sites based on content management/publishing platforms is a plus.
Online portfolio or list of URLs to previous work is required for consideration.
