Job Description:
Our client is a corporation in the Western suburbs who is looking for a full time Director of Web Marketing.
You will be responsible for the creative design and the user experience for all online communications.
A thorough description of duties includes:
· Manage the Web Designers by providing creative direction, task prioritization, and training. Teach, coach and mentor team members in design fundamentals and share knowledge and training on information architecture, usability design and optimization techniques. Research and develop tools that keep team of designers current with industry tools and trends.
· Responsible for maintaining and updating interactive communications on a continual basis. Responsible for ensuring all creative design is optimized for maximum usability and conversion.
· Work with the account/production team to develop timelines and schedules for projects and work with necessary designers to ensure projects are on schedule and that all deadlines will be met.
· Serves as a strategic technology partner with the Web Development team to integrate Web content that is feasible with the growth of the Web infrastructure.

· Bachelors degree in graphic design or related field.
· 5-8 years experience in web design with a solid understanding of relationship between content, visual design, user interface and technology required.
· 3-5 years experience in managing web design staff.
· Expertise in HTML, Dreamweaver, CSS, Flash, Adobe Photoshop, web graphics and web optimization techniques.
· Experience with PHP and JavaScript is a plus.
. Ability to function well in a high-volume, fast-changing work environment and the ability to work on multiple time-critical issues.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to work effectively under deadlines and manage concurrent projects.
· Experience with SEO and Social Media.
· Experience in defining goals and executing projects in required timeframes. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
· Current with web and design technology. Understanding of Internet design issues (browser usability, cross-platform compatibility, color, quick loading of images, etc.) is required.
· Strong foundation in design fundamentals. Skilled with design applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, QuarkXPress and InDesign as well as various web and multimedia applications including Adobe ImageReady Macromedia Flash and Macromedia Dreamweaver.
· Outstanding design portfolio of interactive projects is required.
